Marrakesh Café

Last night my friend and I visited the Marrakesh Café, an authetic Moroccan restaurant in Dallas, TX. The ambience was great, the service very friendly and the food was wonderful! We ordered:

- Spicy Moroccan Cigars: phyllo dough filled with spicy ground beef and special sauce. (first photo)

- Shrimp Sharmoula

- hot mint tea (sweet!)

- chicken kebab

- cornish hen tagine with artichokes (2nd photo)

- peach bread pudding

Ironically enough, our waiter was from Casablanca, but he has lived in Dallas for about ten years. I told him how I would be going to Morocco, so we got chatting. He said not to worry about dress and "covering up" and that the weather will be beautiful. When I told him I was going with Rotary, he said one of his cousins there is involved with Rotary and might be a current President of a club, but he wasn't sure. How cool is that?!? So, we exchanged contact info and he said I can contact him with any questions we might have. :)
